Luca Toscani
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER and INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
Luca Toscani is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Valmar Capital. Before launching Valmar, he served as COO at Saidler & Co. Investment Management, a digital asset-focused fund, and was the Founder and COO of TPRV Capital, a relative value fund established in 2017 with a $400 million seed investment from Harvard Endowment. TPRV was the first spin-out from Harvard in over a decade and one of the most significant hedge fund launches in the U.S. that year, reaching nearly $1 billion in AUM. Luca began his career in London as an equity arbitrageur at Bear Stearns before managing a $250 million portfolio as a StatArb Portfolio Manager at Medici Capital Management. He holds a B.S. in Economics and Quantitative Studies from Venice University, Italy, and an M.S. in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jonathan Man, CFA
MEMBER OF THE INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
Jonathan Man is a member of Valmar’s Investment Committee and currently serves as Head of Investment Products at Lionsoul Global. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager at Saidler & Co. Investment Management, a digital asset-focused fund, and a Digital Asset Markets Trader at Celsius Network, where he established the DeFi desk and led the expansion of the DeFi portfolio to $2.5 billion. His responsibilities also included basis arbitrage and exchange arbitrage. Jonathan began his career at CIBC Capital Markets in the Real Estate Finance Group, where he was involved in trading commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), fixed income, and credit derivatives. He also worked on CMBS securitization, cash flow modeling, and pricing. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and an MBA from NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder.

Joseph Cox
HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Joseph Cox is Co-Founder and serves as Head of Business Development of Valmar Capital. Mr. Cox previously served as COO, CCO and Head of Business Development at XMonetae Capital, a digital-asset quantitative hedge fund with assets under management exceeding $100 million. He is on the Advisory Board for the Global Digital & Cryptocurrency Association, a leading regulatory association within digital assets, and hosts CryptoMondays Wall Street on behalf of Valmar. Mr. Cox began his career as a Project Specialist in a third-generation family office, launching numerous and varied business ventures and venture investment strategies. He has B.A. Degrees in History and English from the Pennsylvania State University Schreyer Honors College.

Shubeur Rahman
MEMBER OF THE INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
Shubeur Rahman is a member of Valmar’s Investment Committee. Dr. Rahman’s previous positions include Risk Manager at a Sovereign Wealth Fund and Quant Researcher at a systematic hedge fund. He graduated from Imperial College London with a Bachelor of Science and received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Cambridge, where he also held a Post Doc position.

Val Prasad
TECHNICAL ADVISOR
Dr. Val Prasad is the principal of Anthill Advisors, a boutique consulting firm which specializes in providing portfolio management, systematic trading and trade execution research solutions in traditional finance and cryptocurrency spaces. Prior to this, Dr. Prasad was Head of Execution Research at ExodusPoint Capital Management and Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, and a portfolio manager at WorldQuant LLC. He has over 16 years of quantitative trading and modeling experience, execution research and portfolio management. Dr. Prasad is also an adjunct professor at Cornell University, where he taught a graduate-level course titled "Quantitative Portfolio Management: From Model to Market". Dr. Prasad graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Physics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago. He has published over 40 papers in refereed scientific journals and has won several international awards for his work. Dr. Prasad was also a member of the Supernova Cosmology Project, which was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011.
